Skinsider Panel of Reviewers – Sioris & JKosmmune Review

I’ve been lucky enough to be on the Skinsider Panel of Reviewers for over a year now I think?

Any affiliate links in this post will be marked with a *.

In that time I’ve been able to try some fantastic new products and discovered some new brands that I’ll continue to use.

Normally, we would travel to the Skinsider offices to film our reviews. Obviously right now, that’s not possible so instead I’m bringing you a post with the four products I’ve recently been testing.

Sioris – Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser

I think this could be my first Milk Cleanser? I love the texture of this. It’s a soft, gentle cleanser that has a milky colour and a pleasant scent. It doesn’t foam up at all, and it isn’t as runny as you’d think, with a name like ‘milk cleanser’. I use this either as a first cleanse when I’ve not been wearing any make up, or as a second cleanse on a make up day. It leaves my skin visibly softer and smoother. There’s very few cleansers that have left my skin as smooth as this – Banilla Clean It Zero and Eve Lom* being the only ones that spring to mind.

If you like your skincare to only contain natural ingredients, you’ll like Sioris. This cleanser has 100% natural ingredients. It comes out pretty well on CosDNA with just one potential acne flag. As you look through the listing, you’ll see this full of two types of ingredients – moisturising and anit-inflammatory.

This is a great cleanser for the harsh Winter months. As much as I like a ‘squeaky clean’ feeling after cleansing, I know it’s not good for my skin.

I tried to work out what the scent of this reminded me of. The largest ingredient in this is ‘organic green plum water’ which isn’t anything I’d heard of in skincare before. I don’t believe this smells of plum though. The closest I could think of was a Shea Butter L’Occitane product. It’s a lovely, comforting scent.

Finally, I want to talk about the packaging. It’s clean and simple looking (which I prefer) but it’s also an airless pump. This is my favourite kind of packaging for any kind of product. Just a nozzle to keep clean, no dipping of fingers, and minimal product wastage at the end.

This cleanser is £22.50 for 120ml and after regular use I get about three months out of this bottle, if not more.

Sioris – My Soft Grain Scrub

I love an exfoliator. About once or twice a week I’ll use one to give my pores a good clean and get rid of any dead skin.

I was intrigued by the Sioris Scrub as it’s literally just the scrub and none of the liquid. The idea is you add it into your normal cleanser. Naturally, I added it to the Milk Cleanser from the same brand. As that cleanser is so moisturising it made a nice combination and didn’t leave my skin feeling as dry as it sometimes does after exfoliating.

There’s some trial and error with this scrub in terms of finding the right amount to add. What this does mean though is that you have a lot of flexibility. You can add a small amount and use it more regularly, or add in a pile to give your skin a really good scrub.

Sticking with the natural theme of the cleanser, this too is 100% natural. 86% of the scrub is oatmeal and you can smell it in the product (but not when it’s on your face). This comes out very well on CosDNA, possibly the best I’ve seen on an exfoliator.

If you like a really tough exfoliator, then this probably isn’t for you. Due to the oatmeal it’s a lot softer than some exfoliators. This does make this excellent though for those with sensitive skin. If you struggle to find an exfoliator that doesn’t irritate your skin then I highly recommend giving this a try.

This is £18 for 45g and will last you absolutely ages.

Kosmetic Immunity by JKosmmune – Beta Glucan Recovery Serum

This is possibly the most serious looking skincare I’ve used in a long time.

The hero ingredient of this range is ‘beta glucan’. I gave the ingredient a Google and found it was great for skin soothing and had a lot of antioxidant properties.

Reading up on this serum it ticks all the boxes of what I’m looking for in a serum. It renews a damaged skin barrier, helps with skin tone and improves skin elasticity.

Sadly I couldn’t find this on CosDNA but the ingredients are minimal (including one of my favourite ingredients CA Extract):

Water, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Beta Glucan, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Butylene Glycol

The serum itself is thin, clear and soaks into the skin incredibly well. There’s no noticeable scent to it and one pump does the whole face nicely. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, but without feeling like there’s a layer of something on my skin. I love my Hyggee Serum, but I can feel it sitting on my skin.

Using this twice a day my skin felt great. It felt (and looked) soft and plump. I could really feel it working and got comments on how my skin looked when I was using it.

At £42 for 50ml it’s not the cheapest, and the bottle only lasted me around two months. However, once I’ve used up my backlog I will be repurchasing. I don’t mind spending money on skincare that works, and I really felt that this did.

Kosmetic Immunity by JKosmmune – Luminous Skin Defence Moisturiser

From the same range as the serum, I also received the moisturiser. This is another ‘beta glucan’ containing product and I had similar results to when using the serum. When used separately these work well but together, they’re even better.

Again, this product is all about hydration, and brightening the skin tone. It, too, contains one of my favourite ingredients – Centella Asiatica Extract.

This is more like a gel cream than a typical moisturiser, so I would recommend this for use mainly in Spring/Summer. I used it over the Winter and while I liked it, I didn’t find it rich enough for my combination skin in the cooler months. Just like with the serum, I did find it plumped and smoothed my skin.

There’s not a huge amount of ingredients in this either, and it fares really well on CosDNA.

At £38 for 50ml it’s similarly expensive and lasts less time than the serum. However, it’s a great soothing, anti ageing moisturiser that is perfect for the warmer months and will be added to the repurchase list.

This has been my favourite package of goodies so far from Skinsider.

I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve used and found a new favourite brand in the form of Kosmetic Immunity. Have you tried Sioris or JKosmmune before? Drop your recommendations below!
