A Bee-autiful Mother’s Day Card

It’s March so it’s time for Mother’s Day again!

I’ve been well prepared this year, and already made the card for my mum. For some reason, I had an itch to make a card centered around bees. I spent way too long trying to find some bee cut files in the Silhouette store. The first ones I chose were a little too intricate and didn’t cut well at all. They were also far too difficult to attach to the cardstock. I finally found these super cute ones, and picked out a patterned paper that went nicely with the yellows I’d picked for the bees.

The paper came from a Mint Julep pad, made by Basic Grey. The coloured card stock was my usual Papermania cardstock* and the white card I stamped on is from a mixed media pad*.  I think I always end up using this stamp on Mother’s Day Cards. It’s from a Me to You set from a few years ago. It sadly doesn’t stamp as well as other stamps, even with my favourite ink*.

It’s been a while since I’ve used dots on a card, so I popped a few pearl dots on. I think it finishes off the card nicely. This is a lovely little card, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
