Skin79 Peel Free Grain Mild Peeling Gel Review

I’ve learnt the hard way to go easy on the exfoliation.

Back when I was really trying hard to clear up my acne, I was exfoliating probably about three times a week.

I’m now much kinder to my skin, and so only exfoliate once a week now (and even then, only when I feel I need it).

For the past 18 months I’ve been using the Tosowoong Enzyme Powder* as an exfoliator. I’m finally beginning to run out of that, and so I was in the market for a new one.

On a whim, I picked up the Skin79 Peel Free Grain Mild Peeling Gel*. I wasn’t 100% sure what it was with a name like that, but I decided to give it a go!

Like most Korean brands, it’s good value. At £11 for 100ml it’ll last a good length of time.

I’ve used this a few times now and have been really impressed so far.

In terms of texture, it’s a creamy gel with fine gritty particles inside. It’s very reminiscent of the Lancer Exfoliator that I loved but couldn’t justify buying the full size of.

It’s hard to describe the scent, but it reminds me of the Lancer one too. It smells very clean and not at all overpowering.

In terms of application, this is very easy to use.

I’ve been using about a ten pence piece and applying it in circular motions around my face (concentrating on my chin) and nose. My face feels soft and smooth afterwards, with no redness. The next day, my skin is visibility brighter and any roughness has disappeared.

This is gentle on the skin, whilst still doing its job of exfoliating. When used on particularly dry areas, you can visibly see the dry skin being lifted from the face (which is very satisfying).

This is my first purchase from Skin79 but I don’t think it’ll be my last.

I’ve been using this once a week for a while now and I’ve barely used any, so I don’t think I’ll need to repurchase anytime soon!
