October Beauty Empties

It’s been a while since I’ve posted my beauty empties.

The past couple of months I’ve been purely posting them on Instagram but I’ve been feeling a little restricted as to how much I can write about each product. Therefore, this month I’m back with a blog post!

Lagom Cellus Mist Toner

This was gifted to me as part of the Skinsider Review Programme. I always use a mist after my cleansing step and this has been my favourite of all the ones I’ve ever tried. It’s fine, unscented and settles quickly into my skin, leaving it ready for the next step in my routine.

I usually follow this up with actives (both AM and PM) and I find that it leaves my skin nicely prepped for them. This was a 150ml bottle and lasted me absolutely ages. It’s on the pricey side at £22 but I really enjoyed it and will likely repurchase it myself.

Commleaf Rose Moisture Pad

This was in the goody bag from the ABLondon meet up I went to last year. I didn’t really understand the point of it as it did leave my face very very wet after use. I’m also not a massive fan of anything like this that increases waste (I’ve stopped buying sheet masks for this reason).

However I did find these pads really handy for after using a clay mask. Even after removing a clay mask it feels like there’s still a little bit leftover in my pores and so a sweep with the soothing rose pad left my skin feeling clear and soft.

At £25 for a tub of 30 I wouldn’t recommend these. Perhaps if I travelled more and wanted on the go cleansing pads I may consider it. But for general use, probably not.

Purito Centella Buffet Serum

I recently did a full review of this and my opinion hasn’t changed. I do really like this serum, though I hate the cheapness of how the pump feels when using it. It sinks into the skin nicely, and works really well with the Vitamin C I use daily. I probably will be repurchasing this once I’ve used up two other serums I’ve got on the go.

ID.AZ Face Fit Lifting Cream

This was another gifted item as part of the Skinsider programme. As someone with oily skin this was a little too heavy for me during the Summer. However, as soon as it got to September this was perfect for both day and night. It was rich, it soaked into the skin nicely and it left it looking and feeling soft and supple. I definitely felt like I noticed a difference to the suppleness of my face after using this.

The brand is sadly no longer available at Skinsider but I really liked it as my first anti ageing cream.

Isehan Heroine Kiss Me Mascara

If you saw my No7 review post you’ll know my opinion on this. It’s the tubing mascara I used to come back to. Not because it the best, but it was just the best of a bad bunch. I’ve since found the Maybelline Snapscara tubing mascara and will never go back to another mascara (unless they change the formula). You can pick this up on Amazon for around £11* if you want to try this well loved mascara. However, I’d highly recommend trying the Maybelline one first.

Bioderma Water Mist

I first bought a can of this on holiday to keep myself cool. I then learnt it’s great sprayed on your make up, particularly if you use heavy foundation. After trying it myself I agreed. It just seemed to make everything look a little less soft and powdery.

For two years I used this to finish off my make up and always picked up a can when I went on holiday to France (I can’t find it here in the UK). However recently I finally tried an actual fixing spray from Revolution and don’t think I could ever go back to just water now.

What did you think of this month’s empties?
